At Revive Mobile, we strongly believe the answer to Europe's mobile phone waste problem is prevention.
We believe the general mobile phone has a life expectancy of 8 years. Most consumers only use their mobile phone for the first 2 years of its life and then disregard it. During this period it depreciates in value to the point where it becomes worthless and can potentially be thrown away.
We promote reuse by educating the public and making recycling their phone both simple and very rewarding. Our UK programmes are aimed at targeting the 25 million mobile phones that will be upgraded this year alone via retail stores, call centres and the web.
